I was please to just stroll around Verulam yesterday morning.

Easily pleased!

Not technical photography I know, but I thought these bits of old glass were very pretty, Despite their being on the kitchen window sill for the last few years, I had forgotten them until I noticed them suddenly one morning this week and enjoyed them as though they were a new thing.

Firework finale

Didn't get to any firework displays this year but manage to take this picture from my bedroom window, which I quite like.

Reflections

The 2nd picture is of snow covered mountains reflected in the water on Rannoch Moor. This sight caused a sharp intake of breath because Rannoch Moor, on most of our trips to those parts, is misty and bleak and occasional gale-swept. To find it so still and beautiful was surprising.

Didn't actually manage to get out with my 'real' camera but took these with my phone. I liked the way all the trees had circles of green beneath them

This picture was taken last October Half Term in Glen Nevis at the foot of Ben Nevis, and I'd like to be there right now, feeling the breeze and with the noise of the river and the smell of the rocks and the vegetation.

The end or the beginning?

This is the last stage of the hollyhocks in my garden for this year, but it looks as though there is hope for next year (or perhaps the one after).
