Its Easy to Miss the Small Things

I was looking up at the morning sunlight on the oak tree in the garden and nearly missed this early morning poppy at my feet.

More Bluebells

Just two more photos for those in other countries who have never walked in England in a bluebell wood. Just couldn't resist them! It is always magical no matter how many times you have seen them. Taken at 7.30 am this morning near St Albans.

Beautiful in the Centre

 












I 'found' this today - it is a picture of a flower in the garden. (might be a rock rose - I'm not sure) I 'found' it in that it is cropped from the centre of a fairly ordinary picture of a flower in the garden taken last Summer, and the beauty of it only really became apparent when I cropped and enlarged the centre of the plant whilst looking for a different image. It was a surprise find.
